Logging in
You can log in by using your library card number and PIN. If you have got a username and a password (from an older version of the system) you can also log in by using these.
How to log in using card number and PIN
Keep your login details secure. Make sure that nobody can see your password or PIN as you enter it.
- Locate the Login panel.
- In Username type your library card number.
- In Password type the PIN that goes with the library card that you entered above.
- Click Sign In.
If the login is successful, the Login panel will show "Hello user" and a list of links to pages.
If the login is unsuccessful, the Login panel fields will clear, so you may attempt to log in again.

Note: This is only possible if you have used the library website for a long time who created a username and password.
- Locate the Login panel.
- In Username type your Arena username.
- In Password type your Arena password.
- Click Sign In.
If the login is successful, the Login panel will show "Hello user" and a list of links to pages.

How to log in on a shared computer
If you are logging in at a shared computer, do not allow the web browser to store your user name and password/PIN. If the web browser offers to store the information when you log in, you should decline.
If your user name and password/PIN are stored in the web browser of a shared computer, you should change your password/PIN as soon as possible.
Note: When you have finished using Arena, make sure you log out. This prevents anyone else from using your Arena account.
Have you forgotten your password?
Note this only applies if you have a username and password.
If you don't remember your arena password, click the "forgot password?" link in the login portlet and give your username and the e-mail registered (if no e-mail has been registered, leave the field blank). You will be given two options for secure identification:
- give library card and pin, or
- answer two of three security questions (if you have defined them in your profile).
You will now have the possibility of setting a new password directly in the interface.
If you have no card connected and no security questions defined, the password cannot be reset through the interface. Please contact the library staff.
How to log out
You may only log out if you are currently logged in.
- Locate the Login panel.
- Click Log out.
Automatic logout
Arena will log out your account after a predefined time of inactivity (usually set to between 15 and 60 minutes). This secures your account in case you leave the computer without logging out of your account.
Note: When you have finished using Arena, always log out manually. Do not leave your account logged in, as it may be used by someone else before Arena has logged you out automatically.
